Floor 1 · The Gilt Cellars

One run. Thirty floors down.

Fight through each floor, then take the room behind it: a merchant, a chest, a shrine or a forge. Your bag holds twenty pieces and your sockets hold eight. What you equip, your hero wears.

  1. LootBuy from the market, take drops, open chests. One chest in four has teeth.
  2. MergeTwo of the same piece become one, a rarity higher.
  3. DescendBosses wait on floors 10, 20 and 30.

Two of a kind. One rarer.

Drag a piece onto its twin and they merge a rarity up. Seven rarities, from Common to Gilded, and Gilded comes only from two Mythics.

Every enemy shows its next move.

The plate over each enemy says what it will do on its turn. You act first: strike, or GUARD to restore armor and brace, so every blow that turn lands at half. Three turns. Read them.

Six heroes. Six ways down.

Each has a skill that costs mana and a passive that bends the run around it. Turn them to look closer.

Floor 10 · Keeper of the Cellars

“Another claimant. Name, then balance. We will settle both.”

He posts a debt, the Tally, when you enter the Cellars. Pay it at a merchant before floor 10, or meet him stronger.

Floor 20 · The Drowned Reliquary

Mother Brine

“You came back to me. They always come back to me.”

The Reliquary drowned so she could keep it. She calls up her drowned, and regenerates while one of them still stands.

Floor 30 · The Hoard Heart

“There you are. I misplaced you.”

The hoard wyrm. The curse is its heartbeat. Bring him low and he rises once more.

The Dragon's Hoard

Every death feeds the hoard.

When a run ends in death, its gold falls to the dragon at the bottom. Once a month, the first player to break the curse in a Season Descent takes the whole pile, and their name goes on the hoard.
